A UNESCO World Heritage site, Ivindo National Park protects some of the most important rainforest in Central Africa. Its centerpiece is the spectacular Kongou Falls, a 3-kilometer wide series of cataracts hidden deep in the jungle. Further south lies Langoué Baï, a mineral-rich clearing where massive numbers of forest elephants, gorillas, and forest buffalo gather. Reaching these remote wonders often requires a journey by traditional pirogue boat, offering an immersive experience in one of the planet's most untouched ecosystems.
