National park
In Uganda, East Africa
Kidepo Valley National Park in pictures.
Tucked into Uganda's remote northeastern corner near the South Sudan border, Kidepo is one of Africa's most isolated and pristine wildernesses, its golden plains framed by jagged mountains. The park supports species found almost nowhere else in Uganda, including cheetahs, ostriches and large herds of buffalo and elephant. Its sheer remoteness rewards visitors with sweeping landscapes and few other tourists.
