Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site that lives up to its name with a dense, prehistoric canopy of trees, ferns, and vines. Located in southwestern Uganda, this ancient forest has survived the last ice age, making it one of the most biologically diverse regions on Earth. It is famously the primary refuge for mountain gorillas, hosting nearly half of the global population.
