Kibale holds one of the highest densities and diversity of primates in Africa, with thirteen species including a large population of habituated chimpanzees. Guided forest walks offer the chance to hear and watch chimps swinging and calling through the canopy. The adjacent Bigodi wetland is a rewarding birding and monkey-spotting stop on the park's edge.
