Sahara Desert at Merzouga in pictures.
Near the village of Merzouga, the wind-sculpted dunes of Erg Chebbi rise as high as 150 metres at the western edge of the Sahara. Travelers ride camels over the sand to overnight in Berber tented camps, watching the dunes glow at sunset and the sky fill with stars. It is Morocco's most iconic desert landscape.
