Karera Falls in pictures.
The Karera Falls (Chutes de la Karera) tumble through lush forest near Rutana in southeastern Burundi, formed by several cascades fed by the Karera River. Surrounded by gallery forest and rich birdlife, the falls are a protected natural site and a favorite stop on southern tours. Walking trails connect the different cascades through shaded, mossy ravines.
