- June to September (Long dry season) for wildlife viewing and whale watching. December to February (Short dry season) to see elephants on the beaches of Loango.
- Visa and entry
- E-visa available for EU and many other nationalities via evisa.dgdi.ga (min 72h processing). As of 2026, standard visas for U.S. citizens are currently suspended; special embassy permits are required. Confirm latest status before booking.
- Health
- Yellow Fever certificate is MANDATORY for all travelers. Recommended: Hepatitis A/B, Typhoid, Polio. Malaria prophylaxis is essential year-round.
