- When to go
- The best time for a Nile cruise is during the cooler months from October to April. For desert expeditions, the ideal windows are October to November or March to April to avoid the searing summer heat and the surprisingly cold winter nights.
- Visa and entry
- Citizens of the US and EU can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at major Egyptian airports for $25 USD (valid for 30 days). Alternatively, travelers are encouraged to apply for an e-visa through the official portal at least seven days before departure. Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- Health
- A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for travelers arriving from countries with a risk of transmission. Recommended vaccinations for all travelers include Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and an adult Polio booster, along with ensuring routine shots like Tetanus are up to date.
