Grand Egyptian Museum in pictures.
Opened on the Giza plateau, the Grand Egyptian Museum spans some 81,000 square meters and houses over 100,000 artifacts, including the complete treasures of Tutankhamun displayed together for the first time. Its translucent alabaster facade is aligned with the nearby pyramids, framing them through the museum's vast glass walls. It is the definitive home of ancient Egyptian heritage.
